Fort Foster School Days

February 6 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

$2.00

Experience the Real Florida frontier at Fort Foster Historic Site.

Fort Foster was one of the original Seminole War forts constructed in Florida during the early 1800s. Today a replica wood picket style fort has been constructed on the original site. Park Rangers and reenactors provide tours, and explain the Fort operations and living conditions, as well as telling the history of the Seminole Wars in Florida.

Hillsborough River State Park is excited to present “living history” events at the Fort Foster State Historic Site in February 2019. These living history reenactment events feature military, Seminole, and civilian reenactors, as well as craft demonstrations, with special days (listed above) set aside for schools. Plan a field trip to one of these events and let your students experience what life was like almost 200 years ago in Florida.

The school registration form is available online. The School Event runs Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. See the weekend for public activities.
